Collin Hoke

Production Assistant

Collin is the producer and a co-host of Vers Creative’s podcast, The Nonprofit Renaissance, dedicated to fostering growth and leadership within nonprofits. With a decade of experience in nonprofit and team leadership, Collin has honed his expertise in producing compelling narratives that not only inform but inspire. At Vers, his role extends beyond the microphone as Collin is instrumental in all aspects of video production as well as web and graphic design.

Collin’s passion lies in telling impactful stories that resonate. His focus is ensuring that every story told is not just heard but seen and felt as well. He is a creative at heart, constantly bubbling with new and exciting ideas and loves the opportunity to turn these visions into reality…as long as the next fresh idea doesn’t whisk him away first.

When he’s not hanging around the Vers office you can find Collin with his wife Paige, and their two kids, enjoying moments filled with laughter, adventure, and the occasional temper tantrum (MOST of the time it’s the kids). Whether it’s playing in the yard, experiencing the magic of Disney, or a spirited wrestling match with his 4-year-old son, Collin wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is his stuff:

Goodfellow brand: I do 95% of my clothes shopping at target. A good brand for a good fellow.

Classic Bottled Coca-Cola: I like tasty things. This is one of the tastiest.

The Princess Bride: A movie that has entertained me for decades and taught me to not fall victim to the classic blunders, the most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia”, but perhaps more importantly albeit slightly less well-known — “never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.”

Steak, Potatoes, Oven Roasted Broccoli: In my estimation there’s not a better meal.

Drum sticks: I asked chatgpt for phrases about drums that match the idiom “tickle the ivories”, referring to the piano. It did not disappoint.

  • I orchestrate thunder on the circle set
  • I engage in percussive persuasion
  • I’m a maestro of the beat brigade
  • I like to get lost in the rhythmic jungle
  • I thrive on the thrill of the stick twirl

Video Games: Video games were always a fun escape growing up. The super detailed worlds of the western themed series “Red Dead Redemption” are some of my all-time favorites to explore.

Hat: I love the idea of routine hair cuts that keep my hair a consistent length and always looking the same. I’ll let you know when I successfully implement this. In the meantime you can find me rocking a hat when the hair gets too long to style, so…often.

Coffee: Well, it worked so well with drum idioms. Why not more?

  • I indulge in the ritual of the roasted bean
  • I engage in the mug hug
  • I partake in the morning’s first sip ceremony
  • I savor the dance of the dark drip
  • I’m a disciple of the daily grind

Notes app: Where all the ideas that I may someday execute go
