Jason Smithers
Jason brings unique creative talent. He has mastered the ability to excite the left side of his brain (which most creatives don’t even know we have), impassion the right side of his brain, and somehow control them both simultaneously. It’s something that inspires confidence in both clients and staff alike.
For more than 15 years, Jason worked as a leader and director in the arts in the non-profit world. During that time, he became a three-time author and a Regional Emmy Nominated writer (NATAS). He has many passions in life which make him such a great fit for Vers.
Some people watch sports for entertainment, but not Jason. He prefers pursuing his passions in the arts. When he is not working or spending time with his wife, Jess, and his kids, Jason is busy writing books, shooting photographs, or making music at MadSam Studios in Perrysburg, OH.
This is his stuff:
Unfinished by Jason Smithers: I really wanted to write a book for hopeful creatives that struggle with finishing projects. So, I wrote this book.
Moleskine and Pen: This pen was handmade for me by a friend. I’ve been keeping a yearly journal for 10 years. It helps me look back at where I’ve been, and where I’m going.
Map of Middle Earth: Made by a friend. Hangs proudly in my office in case I forget where Minas Morgul is.
Fuji Camera: I’ve been shooting Fuji for almost a decade. It’s actually what made me fall in love with photography.
Memento Mori and Amor Fati coins: I carry one of these everywhere I go. They mean a lot to me.
Ship of Theseus by V.M. Straka.: If you know anything about this book, you know it isn’t what it seems. It reminds me that you can still do incredibly creative things with book form.
Lord of the Rings by Tolkien: Because one does not simply show all of their things without showing Lord of the Rings.
