Last month, our studio at Live Oaks looked a little different.
Instead of campaign planning, content calendars, and brand strategy sessions, we spent the day photographing nonprofit leaders from across Tampa Bay. The goal was simple: help local organizations replace generic stock imagery with photos that actually reflect the people behind the mission.

When the people in the photo don’t match the work
A lot of nonprofit teams are doing meaningful work with visuals that don’t fully support their grind.
Stock photography can fill a gap. But it rarely builds trust the way real faces do. When a donor lands on your website, opens your annual report, or scrolls past your social content, the visuals should feel as real as the work itself.
That’s what this Vers Nonprofit Give Back Day was built around.
What we offered
On February 25, we opened 12 no-cost photo session spots for nonprofit leaders and team members.
Each participant walked away with:
- a 15 to 30-minute guided session designed to feel easy and natural
- 5 to 10 edited, high-resolution images
- ready-to-use photos for websites, donor decks, LinkedIn, and social media
Why it matters
These weren’t just headshots.
They were tools.
A stronger homepage image can make a nonprofit feel more credible. A better leadership photo can help a donor deck feel more personal. A more authentic team image can help an organization communicate who they are with more clarity and confidence.
That matters when your job is earning trust, building support, and moving people to act.
Why Vers does this
We work with nonprofits every day, so we know the tension: budgets are tight, expectations are high, and the story still needs to come through clearly.
Give Back Day is one small way we can support the teams doing meaningful work in our community with creative that’s actually useful.
Missed this one?
We’ll share future Give Back Day opportunities on our social channels.
And if your team needs clearer messaging, stronger visuals, or creative that actually works, we’d love to talk.
